i am going with INFJ but she is pretty hard for me to type in the show. i see an argument for ni-dom based on the fact that she extrapolates meaning from things and does seem to make judgments about people based on a "feeling" (aka intuition) she gets. for instance, when she tells rupert she believes anyone can change (not something any function owns) after that conversation she gets a glimmer of the person rupert might be on the inside. even after the conversation she has with his ex-wife or people calling rupert names around her once she has an insight about someone she does not let it go and will keep going and going (which is very ni, once it has an idea it will keep going and going unlike ne-users who will explore many different ideas) she also is invested in keeping harmony and the peace in her family and others. like when rupert is like "why dont you just say you dont like these people/dont want to work with these people in the future" taggie finds it difficult because her natural state is to keep the peace in want of harmonious results (fe). she also takes on parental duties for her own parents which js can find themselves taking on leadership roles/responsibilities naturally and it isnt always a huge stressor for them. (particularly for exxjs and i think taggie being an ixxj would make sense since she easily takes on responsibilities but it does overwhelm her at times). she seems to really flourish when she feels like she is fulfilling a larger "purpose." like for venturer and going completely the extra mile to help out to spread the word even when her own father was belittling her by implying it is too hard for her. (ni) she does focus on the "meanings" and the abstract value of things. for example, she takes it personal when rupert calls the room idiots for focusing on "principles" even though her father and freddie were more the main target. she gets hurt by this because for her, rupert is the only one who hasn't made her feel ashamed for her dyslexia/being seen as "dim" whereas all of the adults (bar lizzie) in her life patronize her and insult her intelligence. maud and declan constantly do this but rupert always seemed to believe in her/hold her in high regard, so she really personalizes his words there. (signs of a high intuitive function user) when declan punches the pastor on tv and gets fired, taggie gets worried that she will lose the one place she ever really loved and wanted to be. she takes ruperts actions of getting declan drunk beforehand extra personal because she sees so vividly that it means that they will lose the house, because they will lose all of their money because declan lost his job. (very ni disaster-future predicting thinking. although she probably was not wrong, she was solely focused on this one outcome). also her being fed up with "sitting around and waiting for her life to happen. making sandwiches for everyone else." is a sign of inferior se. i think her relationship with rupert helps him explore his fe-ni which are unhealthy and weak for him. and for her it makes her stand up for herself and putting her vision into reality by strengthening her ti-se. (though i wouldn't lay the credit primarily on rupert for the latter but her standing up for herself? yes he was an influence for sure). especially episode 3 where rupert is like "everyone should be thanking you since you are the reason why anyone is having a good night" and "you're working too hard, i'll do this for you go lay down" he is able to have empathy for another person and she is able to not feel so burdened at that moment. i was considering her being an fi-dom but an ISFP or an INFP character would generally have more angst about not living "authentically" and doing things that are not true to themselves. an fi-dom could appease her family by doing so much unnoticed labor, but if it's not what they want in life they would feel much deeper grievance and unfairness from the situation.
