falls into the unhealthy ne-dom trap of chasing new ideas/the new shiniest thing. this is most apparent in his relationship with maud and his neglect of her and his children (though he cares about them, he is very work-brained). can get worked up about smaller details instead of being focused on the big picture. like when he was very worked up about the sofas/chairs in episode one. he wasn't mad about the chairs because they were ugly, but what having such a casual set up represented for him. (ne dom-si inf) the way he conducts his interviews, how he steamrolls, and the way he makes connections show very high ne usage. the fact that he can ease guests by laying on the charm is very fe as well. declan reframing how he thought of rupert after his interview shows ti in how he reacted to it/what he took away from it. instead of getting defensive, his ti took away new ways of looking at himself/rupert. rupert's conversation gave him more information and connections to make which won declan over to the extent that he became rupert's friend and burned the file of information he had against rupert in the fireplace. something i'd have a hard time believing a high ni-user would do so easily.
