What personality type is Danielle? Danielle is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/sx - in Enneagram, SCUAN in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
Although I get the ISTP votes, I disagree. She's ISFP. I don't know why more people don't see it, but it's clear she's ISFP if you look past all the face-value qualities and notice how she's actually interacting, i.e. how her personality is functioning. I think people are mistaking auxiliary Se with being a thinker, which is somewhat understandable. I mean, objective opportunism/aestheticism (Se) when in the dominant or auxiliary affords an individual a sense of being realistic, which can mirror being a thinker to the untrained eye, but you have to remember she's interacting mostly with an INFP and so, her being the Se type, she's naturally going to come across more earthy like she's got a head for the real world. Anyway, instead of harp on about her being ISFP I should explain it, so that's just what I'll do. You happy? Matthew : "Why are you doing this?" Danielle : "What?" Matthew : "This." Danielle : "Isn't this what you want? To **** a **** star in a cheap motel room? So this is what you really think of me." This dialogue examples Danielle calculating toward subjective metrics/values/limitation (Fi) with objective opportunism/aestheticism (Se). ✅ Notice she's entrapping Matthew (INFP) in his agenda he has yet to disclose, and the immediate response to this alluring entrapment shifts her subjective feeling almost instantaneously to the point she says "So this is what you really think of me" not as a question, as a statement of confirmation. ✅ Notice this indicates Danielle is interacting toward subjective metrics/values/limitation (Fi). ✅ Notice she's using the present moment to her advantage in order to deal with her subjective emotional ambivalence. An ISTP would not calculate as Danielle is calculating. ✅ Notice she goes off with Kelly (ENTJ) because she feels emotionally invalidated by Matthew just beforehand. ✅ Notice, throughout the entirety of the movie, Danielle is never calculating toward subjective optics/symbols/vantage (Ti). Introverted thinking is an unconscious function for her. Danielle : "So what's the craziest thing you've done lately?" Matthew : "Oh I mean, it's hard to tell, you know. I've just done so much nuts stuff." Danielle : "You haven't done anything, have you?" This dialogue examples what I suspect people are confusing for Ti. ✅ Notice when she says "You haven't done anything, have you" it seems at face-value like she's analyzing, which a lot of people associate with the thinking functions, but. . . ✅ Notice in the scene itself it's explicitly shown she's gathering this impression through observation of the present moment (Se) and not through any detached rationalizing. ✅ Notice, throughout the film, she doesn't really rationalize much. She's more of a go with her gut instincts individual. ✅ Notice during the prom that Danielle kisses Matthew in front of the jocks not because she's calculating with Se to sense their internal logic (Ti), but because she's calculating with Se to sense their internal motive (Fi), and she kisses Matthew on exhibition in that moment at the prom because she wants to show the jocks she's taken, because she understood their Fi when they were eyeing her, and she did not appreciate it.
