Roland Deschain MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Roland Deschain? Roland Deschain is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 8w9 - sp/sx - 852 in Enneagram, in Big 5, LSI in Socionics.

Definetly one of the best written ISTP'S in fiction period. Ti - Incredibly objective yet through a subjective framework that he developes. We constantly see Roland evaluating the current situations based off of his internal logic and he's not afraid to go against what others want to do with what he deems more logical in the longrun. Se - Incredibly engaged with his senses at all time but Roland keeps his Se disciplined and at gunpoint (haha) with his Ti-Ni Axis. Basically Roland's whole frameworks revolve around what is concrete, practical, and that he can use to reach a goal, this is why he's deemed so pragmatic. Everytime Stephen King takes a jab at Roland by saying things such as him having "no imagination" and Eddie figuring out that everytime a conversation get's hypothetical (into the why's and how's), he immediately loses interest is due to his reliance on Se. Ni - Peak child Ni in an Istp. We can see Roland's Ni come out with his goal of reaching his Dark Tower and focusing simply on that goal, (for the most part) you can blame this on his holistic Ni. Roland's improvization which he heavily relies is aided by his child Ni by allowing him to quickly deduce the best routes to take in a situation. We also see Roland's mind "mystically" putting together pieces of information in his mental solitude. Fe - Repressed (as it usually is in Ti doms) but we can see that it still plays a fundamental role in his character. Roland quickly developes a soft spot for Eddie, Susannah, and especially Jake but will easily abandon Fe with Ti framework. He's able to delicately pick up on others emotional state but takes no action towards actually attempting to work with others on their emotional state as he's sure his hero Ti knows better. Roland has personal feelings, as does every single human and gunslinger but we don't see any strong personal values from Roland exactly, any emotional outburst usually comes from his internal framework not being able to fit into reality as he wants. I am only on The Wastelands and will only continue until i finish, but if i change my opinion on Roland's cognitive functions i will comeback or i will comeback with more evidence to support my claim now as i'm sure Roland's functions will develope more (especially his inferior Fe)
