Personality

What personality type is Waver Velvet? Waver Velvet is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sp - 531 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.

+:★:+━━+: WAVER IS SO5+:★:+━━+: Waver can be seen as a conceited or vain boy who does not doubt that he is a genius. he has an obvious inferiority complex about his abilities as a sorcere, and frequently doubts himself at every turn. he shows traits of cowardice and has a bad temper, constantly complaining. Forms a bond with Rider and begins to change as Rider builds him confidence and recognizes his accomplishments. Rider praises Waver for being on the front lines of battle with him, comforts him after he saw Caster's victims, and comments on his abilities as a wizard. If we are able to analyze Waver we will understand that the reason why he wanted to be part of the holy grail war is because he wanted to show that knowledge>talent, he himself doubts his magical abilities but never his intelligence and ingenuity, having the enough confidence despite his cowardly personality that his intellect is what sets him salient from others. What stands out is undoubtedly his motivation, he wants to show that he is capable, that his knowledge and understanding should be valued despite not having a renowned lineage. First of all. INTP CAN'T BE 3 (IXXX in general) and please read and compare this quotes. Waver has 3 traits ofc but HE IS 5 CORE. Tritype 531 -> 3 traits. "Fives use isolation to avoid the experience of inner emptiness and maintain a self image of being knowledgeable. Isolation can be physical withdrawal from others, but it also means withdrawing on the inside from one's emotions and staying up in the head. Acquiring knowledge becomes a way to create safety and self worth, but an over-emphasis on the intellect prevents Fives from connecting with the life force in their bodies and the support available in relationship with others. " "Threes use identification to avoid failure and maintain a self image of being successful. Identification is stepping into a role so completely that Threes lose contact with who they are inside. The pressure to keep up a winning image prevents access to personal feelings and needs. Attention goes to the external environment: the tasks to be done and the expectations of other people. Threes find it very difficult to drop the role, or drop the image, since they get so much positive reinforcement in a society that values achievement and success." Clearly he needed validation. But he never put aside who he is for it. he had as a priority to be valued for his knowledge. It is undeniable that type 3 is one of the most extroverted, not only cognitively but also socially (and waver is fe inf 😭) 5 can assure survival and gain protection from intrusion and insufficient resources through privacy, self-sufficiency, limiting desires and acquiring knowledge.  5>3 5: Basic Fear: Of being helpless, useless, incapable (overwhelmed) Basic Desire: To be capable and competent Superego Message: "You are good or okay if you have mastered something." 3: Basic Fear: Of being worthless, without value apart from their achievements Basic Desire: To feel worthwhile, accepted, and desirable Superego Message: "You are good or okay as long as you are successful and others think well of you." Considering this, it didn't make much sense how he refused to let Raider highlight his abilities as a magician. But he did. and the reasons for that are far from being "humble". HE'S A SOCIAL 5 "One might think that the energy of this subtype would be warmer and friendlier than that of the self-pres/social, but it doesn’t usually present that way. Because the social instinct is dominant, these Fives are much more aware of their role in the group. They are therefore more careful of their involvements with others. The social arena is more important and is invested with more energy, so these Fives will pull up faster and harder into self-pres mode if they should feel at all threatened. This will sometimes give others the impression of coldness. This subtype will center a lot of their intellectual interest around the workings of society, humanity or spirituality." Naranjo: "5Social: Totem. Quite cold. Overidealization of persons as being after super-human things, beyond hero-worship—may  be  ideas,  systems  (not  just  people)—searching  for  the  absolute.  Sometimes  they  think they  may  be  Threes  because  of  the  impoverishment.  Searching  for  the  Absolute  (e.g.,  Philosopher's Stone).  " Chestnut: "The Social Five expresses avarice through a need for “super-ideals,” relating to others with common interests through knowledge and shared values (rather than emotional connection). In this Five, avarice is connected to knowledge. Needs for people and for the sustenance that relationships provide get channeled into a thirst for information. “Totem” refers to a passion for high ideals, the need to idealize experts and seek knowledge connected to whatever ultimate values this Five adheres to. Social Fives engage in a search for the ultimate meaning to avoid experiencing life as meaningless."
