What personality type is Byleth Eisner? Byleth Eisner is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 9w8 - sp/so - 954 in Enneagram, RCOAN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.
I definitely believe Byleth is an enneagram 9. He's less focused on his own ideals and more on following others. As a 1, his pursuit of ideals or vision of perfection would be more apparent. Instead, Byleth acts more as the glue to the students in the routes. He keeps the house leaders grounded in their paths, and brings the house together. His focus is on keep everyone together, protecting them, and keeping them from being led astray. As mentioned by the other user, he doesn't outwardly question a lot of the actions and if he does it's more of probing dialogue options that are open-ended. "Would Claude really do that?" "Did they really have to die?" His entire life as a mercenary reflects this too, though he has dialogue options that make him question his actions (killing and such), he never seems to be too troubled by them. Byleth is more visibly troubled by what happens to his students. If Byleth is a 9 and not a 1, I can see Byleth as a 9w1 or 9w8. I am less sure of the reasoning for the 8 wing, but I think he comes off as a 1 due to his use of Ti and being a silent/stoic protagonist throughout the story.
