Personality

What personality type is Ludwig van Beethoven? Ludwig van Beethoven is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 4w5 - sp/sx - 458 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.

Okay. Everyone seems to just type him without doing proper research on his life and his interactions with people. I'll try to explain why I think he's an proper INTJ and not INFP. 1. His inferior Se is really apparent since several people mentioned Beethoven being incredibly clumsy person. " Beethoven was most awkward and bungling in his behaviour; his clumsy movements lacked all grace. He rarely picked up anything without dropping or breaking it... Everything was knocked over, soiled, or destroyed. How he ever managed to shave himself at all remains difficult to understand, even considering the frequent cuts on his cheeks. - He never learned to dance in time with the music." (Barry Cooper, ed The Beethoven Companion (London, 1991), 102 - 105) 2. I know I'm going off with stereotypes but INTJs are known to be rude and really prideful. INFPs aren't like that at all. "As a young man Beethoven was frank to the point of rudeness. Headstrong and proud, he was never willing to conform in his behaviour" (Another quote from the same book) Also he had almost no respect for his patrons (Blind spot Fe). I've read that Prince Lobkowitz once annoyed him, so he mocked him with: "Prince Lobkowitz is a donkey". 3. He was really argumentative. He could hurt and offend people and argumented harshly with everyone around him, whether the topic was money, publishing rights or something else.
