Michael Afton MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Michael Afton? Michael Afton is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - sp/so - 621 in Enneagram, RLUAN in Big 5, SLI in Socionics.

"My child said Freddy bit him!" Michael: "He tripped and fell on Freddy's teeth. Not our fault." Okay. I've done as much research as I believe necessary, and I'm like 70% sure of him being an ISTP. I already felt his Se and Ni were self-explanatory, what I could not decide on was whether or not he had dominant Fi or inferior Fe. If you have a stronger argument for ISFP lmk, I can definitely see ISFP for him as well. But I'm having trouble seeing ISFJ and ENTP. No, he is not an ISFJ because he frees the souls and routinely watches his favorite show. No, he is not an ENTP because he bullied his brother, and is a bit sassy. STOP!!! TiSe - I found his TiSe to be self-evident, as his actions are very TiSe, in my opinion. Michael is, of course, concerned with finding answers and solving issues, mostly in relation to his father and what's going on behind the scenes. He takes time to try to understand things, and explore things in full before he comes to a conclusion or takes action. His Se comes out with how hands on he is in relation to actually finding answers. He works security job after security job, using his senses to understand things and come to conclusions. He lives in the moment and seems to be quite impulsive. I find this is most prominent in Sister Location when he follows Baby's instructions, seemingly wanting more answers and wanting to ultimately help her, rather than analyzing the stupidly dangerous situation he's put himself into. Once he knows who his father really is, he takes it upon himself to work more security jobs, uncover more mysteries, and finish William once and for all. Ni - Ni is a bit harder for me to argue, as we just don't know enough about Michael's inner workings to fully explain it. But you could say that it is present when he presumably knows that Baby is possessed by his sister with minimal details. Though that could be attributed to his father, so, another example could be Michael taking the security job in FNaF 6 and somehow knowing that he must have everyone in one place. He didn't know Henry was his employer, he didn't objectively know that gathering all these dangerous animatronics would ultimately set them free; he just had a feeling. Fe - AHHHH. I am still trying to decide between inf Fe and dom Fi but I think I've made my decision for now. Michael's undeveloped Fe is clearly prominent during his teenage years with the way he treats Evan. He cares about Evan, he loves Evan, but he torments him for being too emotional and cowardly. He finds amusement in his vulnerability, and he doesn't realize that he's gone too far until it's too late. That really screams unhealthy Ti dom to me, but moving on. Michael's Fe is clearly more developed in later years, and it can be said that this is because of Evan's death. His father asks him to "put her back together" and Michael does this for his father for both Ti and Fe related reasons. One is to get his questions answered, and the other is to help his little sister. It's a healthy and prominent balance. I find that the line, "I put her back together, just like you asked me to. She's free now." is SO Fe. Michael prioritizes his sister and the fact that he set her free before he acknowledges the fact that he's literally a zombie. He's more concerned with helping his sister than he is helping himself, and that's most clear to me when he blindly follows Baby's instructions, wanting to help his sister. He dedicates much of his life to solving problems and uncovering mysteries, but he is also doing this to free the souls that were victims to his father(theoretically). But, Michael's inf Fe is still there, and you can clearly see that with the way he talks in the books. He comes off as inconsiderate, and even mean in some of his lines, and for the most part, irritated and fed up with such a dangerous job. My dude cares about his little sister and brother, but he's not going to waste his energy on random people or people that are just not as important to him. Okay, so, I really tried to create this conclusion with as much canonical evidence as possible. I found that when I was trying to come up with an argument for dom Fi, I, for the most part, was not being factual and was only thinking of plausible, but unconfirmed theories and headcanons about Michael. We don't know whether or not he's doing this to help the souls, or if he's doing it because it's the right thing to do and that's really the bottom line. I'm also having trouble seeing him as an Fi dom when he really does not seem at all concerned with himself or his well-being. Like at all lmfao. But that's just an assumption so I don't know. Well, I didn't mean for this to be so long but I would love to see some more arguments for ISFP but I really think we need to put the ISFJ and ENTP arguments to rest. Also, why 1w2 like I don't get it, where the hell did that come from??? edit: honestly was so afraid he'd stay an ISFJ type 1 forever, i'm so blown away rn
