Merida is the type of person who tries to look for ways to manipulate and solve different types of situations which is a hint into her Ti. The way she set up the whole marriage choosing for her to win with her archery seems like very good Ti, but probably low Ni at the same time since she didn’t really think about the consequences that would come afterwards, just like she turned her mother into a bear. She tends to be very good at coming to certain realizations too by analyzing situations and is very good at adapting to the moment, like when she had to calm all of the warriors down and decided to give her mother’s speech. She’s overall just really good at finding flaws in many things and she doesn’t really want to do anything that doesn’t make sense to her, and while this may be Fi, I think the whole movie is the growth of her low Fe.
