What personality type is Ralph? Ralph is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - 692 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, ESI in Socionics.
Could someone explain why 6w5? I don't see much 6 or 5 in him, if I'm being honest. For enneagram 6, their basic fear is being without support and guidance, and their basic desire is to have security and support. Ralph throughout the novel gradually begins to forget about rescue; getting too caught up in the unity among the boys and their "democracy". He also becomes more susceptible to savagery. I feel like an enneagram 6 would be dead-set on rescue, due to their core fear. It's also revealed that even moreso than rescue, Ralph's obsession with the "signal fire" is because he feels it is their last ounce of innocence, togetherness, and civilization. Even at the start, Ralph was excited to be without adults and guidance until reality hit him. As for the 5 wing, Ralph never seems to be insecure about being useless or incompetent. As I recall, his insecurities mostly stemmed from not being able to ease conflict, worrying about the fire, etc. But since I'm not sure what his ennegram might be, I'm open to discussion or debate!
