What personality type is Kakeru Ryuen? Kakeru Ryuen is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 8w7 - sp/sx - 837 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
Contemplated about this character for a while now, and changed my mind. His mindset seems retrospectively to be by far more flexible and receptive than that of Je Doms. I’ve mistaken his goal-orientation for Te, but his drive to be satisfied through accomplishing specific goals doesn’t come from seeking to conform objects to a certain standard. Instead, as one could deduce from his soliloquy, it’s certainly not the intensity of judgment as such that decides his actions, but sensation: “The moment an enemy succumbs, I feel a huge rush of adrenaline. Fear and pleasure are two sides of the same coin for me.” “The snake’s death was my first unshakable victory, and the sight of its flattened corpse gave me such pleasure.” Also, reading through the Ti descriptions again, it became clear how it matches with the way he described himself there in this chapter, which is basically him developing and building up a series of inner principles that he lives by. “Violence rules the world, and the effectiveness of your own particular brand of violence determines what you accomplish.” In Vol 11 it became once again noticeable how seemingly no one is able to retrace his thought process behind his strategy that he came up with, because of how subjective it is in the first place. Ultimately I think him enjoying the realm of the “theoretical” doesn’t lie in making leaps to possible realities, ideas and mental representations (like intuitives do) for the sake of it, but seeing how his subjective ideas/thoughts come to fruition and prove its validity in the external world. (Ti) “It wants to reach reality, to see how the external fact will fit into and fill the framework of the idea, and the creative power of this thinking shows itself when it actually creates an idea which, though not inherent in the concrete fact, is yet the most suitable abstract expression of it.”
