What personality type is Natsume Sakasaki? Natsume Sakasaki is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - so/sp - 584 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.
I don't think anyone's made an argument for his Socionics type yet but 8w7 ILI is impossible so I don't know why the first few votes were in favour of ILI. While SLE is the most likely type for an ENTP 8w7, I'm not sure if it fits Natsume either. I got the impression that he could be EIE instead, which is more uncommon combination wise but still possible. He's certainly particular about emotional expression, going so far as to end his sentences differently for the sake of "yielding discomfort" - I see him as very capable of affecting the emotional atmosphere as he wishes, even if it's in rather unconventional and obfuscating ways, which fits how EIEs typically present either way. He's extremely theatrical and dramatic which I'm pretty sure speaks for itself in just about every single one of his conversations and has an impressionistic method of expressing himself, which is why he's perceived as odd. He aims to be impactful in his influence. He's also described to be Switch's compass in a way, with a specific vision/direction that he leads Switch towards even if they're scattered otherwise. Part of why he's so blunt is tied to him being purposeful and needing to know where something is going in the long term. His abstract, idiosyncratic views on things like fortune telling and magic also don't seem very Se + Ti ego. His tendency to push himself too hard, forsaking his health and comfort could be PoLR Si in a way? It might tie into how he disregards others' comfort for the sake of intentionally creating tension too but I'm admittedly not really sure on that one. His Se seems to be more pronounced due to him being (apparently) 8 core, but I don't see it as his base function still. Compare him to Rinne, who is much more overt with his forcefulness, and is much less impressionistic, or even Koga, whose speech is mostly riddled with straightforward threats without any thought on emotional impact whatsoever. Natsume is, while sometimes violent, more concerned about impression, leading him to speak in a much more dramatic manner for the sake of influence. I don't see him being as systematic and ordered as Ti ego tends to manifest unless I'm missing something. I don't think SLEs with their Fe HA would be as reliant on hyperbolic expression as he is, I reckon they'd rely on reasoning more. Although he's quite secretive with some of his genuine feelings, I think this ties into his overall fear of vulnerability rather than of emotional revelation specifically. But overall I'm not 100% sure on this so if anyone has anything to add on/counter this with then that'd be great because I haven't been able to discuss his Sociotype in depth at all so I'm pretty uncertain on this myself..
