Personality

What personality type is Margaret Thatcher? Margaret Thatcher is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sp - 386 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

I think there is a credible argument to be made for Gillian Anderson’s portrayal of Maggie as an ESTJ, however I think it holds no water ultimately. Anderson is able to rather accurately portray Maggie’s resolve and iron will, furthermore a resolve that is based upon conviction. Margaret Thatcher is a prime example of how an ENTJ conviction-based politician can totally dominate an era. The idea that she is a Lawful Evil is a byproduct of the kind moral revisionism which the left tends to peddle. Credit where it’s due... she did win three sound electoral victories and raise Britain’s head from the willful dilapidation promised by the post war consensus politics. British political, economic, and diplomatic power actually meant something following her “reign”, as it did not and could not in the 1960s and 1970s. Of course at a cost, as with anything worthwhile in politics. This is what power is, an end and the means to achieve it. Thatcher’s close aides and subsequent biographers have described her as an arch-pragmatist, therefore I feel Lawful Neutral is truer to her immensely complex nature. A Lawful Evil would have gleefully adhered to the views of some the fanatical monetarists and abolished the NHS, ensuring utter electoral defeat. Thus, the proof of this particular pudding is in the eating.
