What personality type is Kym Ladell? Kym Ladell is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w6 - so/sp - 792 in Enneagram, SCUAI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.
I struggled for a while to see her as an ENTP. But I came to the conclusion that if she were an ENFP, she would be more organized because of Te. If anyone is having doubts like I was, I urge you to look past her goofy persona. I know it’s a stereotype for ENFPs to be bubbly airheads, but an adult ENFP would use Te for their job and really feel a need to get things done efficiently for, ya know, things like paperwork? Things Kym cares little for? I know ENxPs both have oppositional Si so they can seem scattered and lacking structure in their lives, but that doesn’t change how if something really needs to get done for work an ENFP will be very concerned about being organized and efficient as possible. They have that Te “just get it done” drive. But Kym doesn’t show any signs of having tert Te as far as I can tell. Although I do think an argument for tert Fe wouldn’t be too hard to construct, since she really has a way with interacting with people. Even in the first ch she, while perhaps a bit unorthodox, picked up on how Lauren was in an uncomfortable situation and came up with a quick solution to get her out of it. This can be interpreted as clear Ne-Fe. And when you think about it, she doesn’t really seem to have Fi either. I can’t think of an example of clear Fi. But I do vaguely remember moments when she seemed to use Ti. For ENTPs, Ne makes quick (often completely “out there” connections) while also having Ti to ground them in truth and actual logical accuracy. There’s a great example of Kym doing just that in the comment by user honey below. So Kym being an ENTP makes a lot more sense to me, because despite her stereotypical ENFP disposition, her cognition seems to almost contradict crucial ENFP attributes.
Biography
Sergeant Kym Ladell is a character in the webtoon Purple Hyacinth. Friends with Lauren Sinclair and William Hawkes, she is the mood maker of their friendship group. Despite having an amusing attitude, she shows no hesitation in switching to a rather aggressive side when it comes to training Ardhalis Police Department's newest recruits. Compared to Lauren, little is known about Kym's past, although it has been implied that she was somehow affected by the Allendale Train Station Tragedy. #PurpleHyacinth
