What personality type is Nari Oh? Nari Oh is an ESFJ personality type in MBTI, 2w3 - so/sx - 269 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, ESE in Socionics.
Has anyone considered social 9 for Nari's enneagram? Imo Nari fits a lot of the 9 trait structures, particularly ordinariness, resignation, generosity, over-adaptation, and psychological inertia (when under stress only). A big part of Nari's character is her lifelong feeling of being ordinary and minimising herself for the people around her. She herself admits that she has always felt like the sidekick in other people’s lives. Additionally, Nari thrives in group settings and seems to automatically gravitate towards them—the beginning of the webtoon where Nari constantly tries to blend in with her classmates sticks out to me, but this behaviour is present in other instances too (school reunion, publicity department, how much she's a part of her local community). Furthermore, Nari is shown to narcotise under stress by eating unhealthy amounts of food (after parting ways with Yuna as a child; when her relationship with Seungha went south; and also when Nari was being bullied in the 1st season, she ate so much to cope with her feelings that she ended up vomiting). These behaviours correspond to those of social 9s, as far as I understand. Regardless, I struggle to see Nari as core E2. I can understand where the votes are coming from because of her selflessness and generosity (although those traits are not exclusive to E2s!). However, Nari lacks the fundamental pridefulness of E2s. My understanding is that E2s ignore their own needs because they want to create an image of being selfless—they want praise and appreciation for it. But Nari is the opposite. She mentions at one point that she feels uncomfortable being praised, so it's certainly not something she actively seeks out. Instead, Nari ignores her needs because she doesn’t want to rock the boat and cause friction in her relationships. The character of E2s—who are attention-seeking and have high self worth—isn’t really exhibited in Nari. When Nari does receive attention, it’s usually unintentional on her behalf. Rather, it's a case of her being encouraged and pushed into the limelight. As for Nari’s tritype, she likely has a 6 fix, but I’m not sure what her heart fix is atm 😅 I feel like Nari isn’t melodramatic and internalised enough to have a 4 fix, so I’m considering either 962 or 963
