Personality

What personality type is Josephine “Jo” March? Josephine “Jo” March is an ENFP personality type in MBTI, 4w3 - sx/so - 478 in Enneagram, SLUEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.

i’m going to explain this for the last time before i start i’m talking about movie jo and i’m not going into the familial trauma of enneagrams since the movie doesn’t talk about them👍 first off the main “bad quality” of an 8 is arrogance, now i’d like to remind you of that one scene with the professor where he says he didn’t like jo’s book and the reaction she has about it. correct me if i’m wrong but in any case of that happening the things she said to him would count as arrogance right?? continuing on,, the main “fear” of 8’s has been seen as weakness. now i’d like to remind you of jo’s whole personality plot she thinks that a woman living according to the society’s gender roles is weak, she thinks that a woman is not only fit for romance and that people shouldn’t think so “lowly” of them :) (ex: “women they have minds, and they have souls, as well as just hearts, and they've got ambition, and they’ve got talent, as well as just beauty, and im so sick of people saying that love is all a woman’s fit for”) continuing once again, the main purpose of 8’s is (seen as) “to be against” reminding you once again that the whole plot of jo was being against the world’s gender roles. also another example for being against for jo would be her wearing pants, not marrying and selling her hair at her time! these are all stuff that are “against” in her time. while we’re at the hair stuff 8’s are known for being challengers, once again the hair, pants and not marrying lines up to this, though i think we can see her being a teacher in the big city on her own and publishing her book and her little stories on the paper as challenger traits also. even though i think her speech on women was itself enough to convince many of her being an 8 i want copy paste some other things on her being 8w7 for everyone to understand it better. (these quotes are from crystalknows.com) “Eight with a seven wing fear being controlled by others. They dislike authority and prefer to work alone.” the stuff i pointed out in challenger part lines up with this info once again though to explain it again; one of jo’s biggest fears is her being tied under a man, being held captive (metaphorically) by someone which correlates to her being afraid of being controlled, also lining up with 8w7’s (and 8’s) being obsessed with being independent. “Their basic desire is to remain in control of their own lives. They also want other people to be free, and are often advocates for those less able.” jo wanted to stand on her own two feet and take care of herself and her family on her own which is one of the reasons she left to be a teacher in the city. she could’ve married rich really easily also pointed out by aunt march. she stated it so many times that she wants to have things on her own and not from someone else. “Weaknesses that are typically associated with the Enneagram 8w7 personality include; Struggling to remain patient, Tendency to overindulge themselves, Difficulty listening to authority figures” if you have any arguments against mine i’d like to hear it but please refrain from getting the book involved. (i have read the book a million times and could use it to support my argument better but we’re typing jo from the movie) i’d also understand why this could be confused by her being a 4. please explain your reasonings without demonizing 8’s and reading my argument halfassed 👍
