Personality

What personality type is James “Jim” Gordon? James “Jim” Gordon is an ISTJ personality type in MBTI, 1w9 - so/sp - 162 in Enneagram, RCOAN in Big 5, in Socionics.

Extremely stubborn and unwilling to abandon his moral values, he comes off as an dominant Fi user at times but I’m pretty sure that his Te rules over his Fi. Very prone to planning and trying to do things carefully, and relies too much on procedures/standards that he believes are the best to use when they are clearly not in Gotham. He’s a definite Si user from what I’ve seen in season one. A lot of what he brings to Gotham seems to be an expectation that things are going to be a certain way when a ton of new things hit him that his Si can’t handle, until he starts to learn to adapt to Gotham and take more information to put into his Si database.

Biography

Gordon is introduced as a homicide detective and Iraq War veteran who has recently been transferred to Gotham City, where he lives with his fiancée, Barbara Kean. As his first case, Gordon and his partner, Detective Harvey Bullock are assigned to investigate Thomas and Martha Wayne's murder. After arriving at the crime scene, he comforts the Waynes' son, Bruce, who witnessed his parents' murder, promising him that he would do everything in his power to find the murderer and bring him to justice.
