John McAfee MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is John McAfee? John McAfee is an ENTP personality type in MBTI, 7w8 - sp/sx - 738 in Enneagram, SCUEI in Big 5, ILE in Socionics.

People in comments claiming 6w7 because of his history of "paranoia", despite this only starting after he abused bath salts for years (very common side effect) and the fact that there's more to the 6 than simply "anxiety". He only cared about "security" to the extent that he exploited it in the public to promote his antivirus and ultimately make money, never surrounded himself with "likeminded people" in a 6-like fashion, and is definitely not someone to put much emphasis on his own safety if there's a fun experience around the corner. In reality he was driven by a constant broadening of his horizons, achievement and satisfaction: a textbook 7 leaning much closer to the 8 than the 6; the MDPV shadow people don't change much about his enneagram type.

Biography

John David McAfee ( MAK-ə-fee; September 18, 1945 - June 23, 2021) was a British-American computer programmer and businessman. He founded the software company McAfee Associates in 1987 and ran it until 1994, when he resigned from the company. McAfee Associates achieved early success as the creators of McAfee, the first commercial antivirus software, and the business now produces a range of enterprise security software. The company was purchased by Intel in 2011 and spun back out in 2017 with TPG Capital owning a majority stake, though the software has always borne the McAfee brand name.
