Personality

What personality type is Marilyn Thornhill? Marilyn Thornhill is an ENFJ personality type in MBTI, 1w2 - so/sx - 125 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, EIE in Socionics.

*Warning of spoilers* Marilyn Thornhill; I perceive her as an ENFJ. Fe: Shows because she always cares what others feel. She is dorm mom for a reason after all. In the classroom she understands how people are feeling and doesn’t want the drama to continue on as she continues teaching. “I bided my time, and I made you feel special” shows just how she used this function. Ni: Is so weel developed that it makes me want to say she’s an INFJ. However, I believe her life has made it develop as much as it has. She’s needed to infer what others are doing to stay in hiding, to be able to manipulate people, and to know when her plan may or may not play out. One line I like is “once again you’ve underestimated the situation” showing just how much she relays on intuition. With this think I can safely say any xNFJ’s felt a connection with her. Se: I believe this comes into play when Larissa stoped shapeshifting when she found out her true intentions (last episode). With this she assessed the situation knowing killing Larissa was the only way out of that situation. Se caused her to think quick and be impulsive. But this function isn’t the most developed leaving her to sometimes miss the bigger picture. Ti: Being the least developed leads to her ultimate demise. As she uses feeling over thinking to try and bring chaos to the school. When trying to kill Wednesday she is driven by feelings, feelings of jealousy and betrayal, feelings that have sat for so long leading her logic to go out the window. This function is somewhat developed as she would have needed it to create the Hyde, to instruct them, and to start the summoning. “If you want to outsmart and outcast you gotta out think them” is a line that directly links to both Ti and Ni. Enneagram: She is a One because she holds the values of her past family as such a hight. She does what she believes to be best no matter the consequences. The inner critic being so loud it leads her to unhealthy enneagram One tendencies. Her close mindedness and tendency to believe only she knows what’s best leads her to madness. Her core fear of being bad comes into play when she is hiding who she really is then when, she wants others to view her as helpful and right. She is the only normie at the school and she uses that title like a trophy. Getting Wednesday that flower showed how she needs to give them all the correct one, and two comes into play as she has a desire to be liked and helpful. And although anyone can take care of plants the ones she has are so particular that she needs to be perfect and have them in perfect conditions in order to not kill them. Why 2 and not 9?: she is a two because she constantly wants to be helpful, trying to assist everyone around her. She projects a desire to be there for anyone who may need it. She does have some Nine tendencies after all you are not completely your wing. However, her desire for being helpful and to be loved is way higher than her desire for peace. My favorite character from the show, I mean she is the bee’s knees. 🐝
