I need help for seeing his Ne ‘cause I haven’t seen any of it. Se is concerned with seeing the world as it is and reacting to it. When Jo rejected him, he’s ending it with ‘there’s nothing I can do but laugh’ and then proceeds with ‘this is how easy it normally is’. The past is gone, and the future is subject to change at any moment. Therefore, Se users are not concerned with absorbing and remembering every little painful detail that they come across. This what makes him question his own empathy when he killed one of his subordinate. ‘Shouldn’t I feel something? Is this normal?’ Ne users take in information about the external world around them and use it to perceive a variety of possibilities. They will rapidly jump from one thought to another in a seemingly random way. Since Ne users are primarily concerned with perceiving possibilities, it is often challenging for them to narrow down their options. But it’s not the case with Ian. He uses SeNi most of the time, which narrowing his own conclusions in any situations. Like when Jo got into hospital and he automatically asked TJ did he was the one who ordered it. Or his plan to leave the gang without looking any options regarding to TJ’s feelings. Or when he saw Jo’s face when he ‘turned him down’, but then went to his workplace without any single plan except to see him again. The series is still ongoing now, so there’s still possibility to change the consensus. But so far I like his relationship with Jo. Hope the story won’t go fall down.
