Alabaster's interactions with Syenite throughout the first book are a beat for beat demonstration of an older Ne dom forcing a younger, Ne blind person to open their eyes and reach out past her carefully constructed Ti-Ni vision of the world, and for the longest time she simply interprets this as him being genuinely insane for this. Additionally, I love how he demonstrates an effective wielding of Fe that she (at least attempts) to latch onto.
