What personality type is Jake Barnes? Jake Barnes is an ISTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/so - 549 in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, in Socionics.
I’m not entirely sure about his typology but this is the vibe I get… Well, it’s not just a vibe type lol, but I don’t exactly know if I’m interpreting his character correctly. Jacob seems like a very calm and somewhat introspective character, though he can occasionally lose his temper and be brash. He seems to enjoy blocking out his problems and not facing his innermost turbulent feelings & war trauma by numbing himself using physical sensations, excitement (e.g, bullfighting), alcohol, etc, which is very sp9. I think Jacob’s head fix is 5, but I’ve also considered a 7 fix. Not sure if he’s FLEV or LFEV, but he’s definitely 3E; also unsure about his Big 5… he’s probably 50/50 in terms of agreeableness and openness.
