What personality type is Sunny? Sunny is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 594 in Enneagram, RLUAI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
I think there is a lot of room for discussion surrounding Sunny Fe. Basil and Aubrey say that he was a great listener, but this entire trait is thrown for a spin with one single line. "You didn't want to disappoint them...because they were your friends." Sunny is a good kid, but he's also a listless one. Lost Library insinuates that Sunny likes to laze about and be lethargic, it's a part of who he is(probably because of the enneagram). But he does not have it in him to leave his friends alone. This is why even though he says he'll "just be their moral support" regarding the friends building the treehouse, he relents and goes to help anyway. This is also why he ends up trying to jump from the statue into the lake - he didn't actually want to, but he didn't have it in him to firmly tell Kel and Hero no, that he was afraid of the height. And of course, the biggest of them all - he never stopped to tell Mari how he felt about playing violin until that fateful evening. Sure, all those examples can be explained by 9w1, but more than that, Sunny internalized all of his feelings for the sake of making his friends happy and never stopped to put his own desires before everyone else's. In that sense, he's actually a lot like Hero. This isn't the only parallel between them - Hero more or less ended up exactly like Sunny for a year, but was only able to recover thanks to Kel's influence. The biggest difference between these two is that Sunny is more introverted(inf Fe), while Hero is charismatic and outgoing(dominant Fe). Sunny was there to hear out Aubrey and Basil when they needed his support, but it seems as though Sunny never had anyone reciprocate for him. edit: I readed some 5w4 arguments and I am convinced, Sunny is a 5w4 for sure.
Biography
SUNNY is described as a shy but kind boy. He plays the violin in order to perform at recitals with MARI. BASIL describes SUNNY as a "really good listener" and although he's timid, SUNNY cares about his friends and they get along well. After OMORI and WHITE SPACE begin influencing SUNNY, he turns from shy to reclusive and loses contact with his friends. He stops playing the violin and shuts himself in his room for days on end.
