What personality type is Eunyung Baek? Eunyung Baek is an ESTP personality type in MBTI, 3w4 - so/sx - 378 in Enneagram, SLUEN in Big 5, SLE in Socionics.
Someone said earlier that people are confusing 7s and 3s but really. Theyre confusing them all with eight. I have a couple rants about this but Im just gonna copy paste ts Why is he typed as a 3? That is actually insane. Enneagrams develop during childhood. To me he is a perfect 8. I think a lot of you guys type him as a 3 because youre looking at it from the perspective of him acting all the time and putting on a show or something loke that. But in reality. It's more in the way the 8 does it. See 8s are people who are typicallly associated with rough upbringings. Thats why they are the way they are. Aggressive types who felt very conflicted towards their parents. Neglected. The 8's biggest fear is rejection and betrayal. We see this throughout the story woth Eunyung's insecurities. Developing into an 8 means your home was like a battleground to return to. 8s learn early on that if they dont take on a strong role, they will be forgotten. They learn to be little protectors in a way. This makes their personality aggressive and distrusting. They struggle with getting truly close with a person because they dont want to be taken advantage of. They need to be in control. He is an 8 through and through. I will gladly explain more and give my resources too. I think his entire typology is wrong completely but I'll get to everything in a bit. I have more to add if people want to listen. Thankyouu The mentioned rant: . anyways guys let me explain why Eunyung's enneagram is an 8 even tho I dont know v much abt enneagrams Enneagrams, unlike the ESFP INTJ blah blah types, arent hereditary, they are shaped in childhood Im pretty sure. Being an 8 enneagram usually means you are sensitive emotionally but make up for it by being aggressive. You dont respond or really fear physical pain but emotional pain is a huge fear. Your biggest want is to have control over others while your biggest fear is being betrayed or rejected. These types are terrified of people having control over them or leaving them basically, which is why these types struggle with relationships. Never getting too close. If they end up falling in love then the unhealthy 8 will feel horrible about it, knowing that now they have a reason to be controlled. Im using the word love but as an 8 myself I do think this applies to platonic relationships as well. 8s can get along and have lots of friends but they will likely be very careful not to actually open up. 8s are shaped in childhood by feeling conflicted about their parents. And being an 8 type is often associated with abuse. Enneagram eights are given the name "The Challenger". Im not sure how to get this next part into words so I'll just quote directly from anotjer source talking abt 8 types. "They learned that they could find their place in the family system by taking on the complementary role to the nurturing role – often a patriarchal, “strong” role. Because of this, they felt they had no choice but to grow up quickly because they felt that by showing vulnerability or “softness” they would be hurt, rejected, or betrayed. They felt that if they lost this role in the family that they might be rejected." This may not seem like it fully corresponds to Eunyung but if thats how you feel then reread Marie's arc where Eunyung beats the **** out if the money extortionists for Haejoon's sake. 😋😋 He is also chaotic neutral, doing things for himself but being very chaotic. He doesnt lean to any side. He fits neutral the best because of his development in the story, and he fits chaotic the best because he simply is, the way he makes decisions is all over the place.
