Tae Joon MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is Tae Joon? Tae Joon is an INTP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - so/sp - in Enneagram, in Big 5, in Socionics.

I'm not an expert typer, especially since he's likely an unhealthy type, but here are my thoughts: Although he makes very frustratingly illogical decisions, there are a few things that make me think he's INTP rather than an ISFJ. Why Ti dom? As a kid he seems to be leading with Ti. He's calm in dangerous situations and resourceful (Ne). He's rationalizing Yeonwoo's fears multiple times and keeps questioning whether the things he's seeing are actually real or just hallucinations. He's not exactly conflict avoidant like I'd expect an unhealthy high Fe to act. Child Si: At the beginning of the manga he seems to have his life together: a healthy routine, many friends and he's liked by all. However, after a while with Yeonwoo he starts to heavily slip from his routines just to have a nice time with Yeonwoo, a more pleasurable experience. I feel like an Si dom would be way more responsible about their routines. For an INTP keeping up healthy routines require more effort, and since Si is their child function, that's where they go for comfort. That's what Joon's behaviour looks like to me. Inferior Fe: Let's first establish that even though Fe is an inferior function for INTPs it is still a function they value over Fi. It's a source of embarrassment, but also an area of idealization. (Compare to an INTJ (Yeonwoo likely) with an Fe blind spot) Joon still prefers Fe over Fi. Whenever he considers his values it's always in consideration to how other people's values are. Fe > Fi. Before meeting Yeonwoo again he hasn't stopped to think about what his wants/values are for once. He's for example training to become a police man just to repay his master's kindness, not because it's something he himself really values. He doesn't seem to be good at establishing healthy boundaries with others, it would require him to know his values/wants first (Fi). He tries to read the room and take responsibility for others' feelings, especially with Yeonwoo when he thinks he's mad with him. (Fi is better at empathy, Fe with sympathy) We also learn that the reason he's being such a people pleaser is that it was the only way to not get shunned by adults (which I understood is him trying to follow what he thinks are the group values, so Fe:ing, but more effort). He mentions he's afraid of what other people will think of him and loneliness/emptiness. How I see it, he keeps up with some group values, but he finds it troublesome to try to "give a good image of himself" to others. It's a source of uneasiness, stress and insecurity for him and just causes him to feel empty (possibly experiencing Fe:ing more pretentious than an FJ would, but not completely rejecting it which would make him FiTe axis). He's so ready to leave behind these other people for the one who accepts him as he is, without the tiring social games. He even thinks to himself how it felt "liberating" when Yeonwoo just injured his classmate and threw them out, probably referring to how he finds keeping up the group harmony exhausting, and how it'd be simpler to just act like Yeonwoo. Edit: reading this again, this part doesn't prove my point probably: //He's skeptical of others which is shown time and time again. After learning what Yeonwoo's parents did to him, he's comforting Yeonwoo, telling him how ghosts are not real and therefore not able to hurt him, but thinks to himself "what's really scary are people". Not to mention every time he thinks hard-working people like Hyun Ju should be the ones to succeed in life, rather than his classmates who just suck up to their teachers. As I've understood this is something IxTPs find really bothersome about social games due to the lower Fe. Why would a grade depend on anything else than your knowledge? It isn't fair.// I've made edits since I've learned way more since xD but I still can't say for sure. I agree that Si and Fe are easy to recognize on his character, I'm just trying to understand what he values most at the end of the day. Other argument could be that he's relying on Si and Fe to get over a hard time and therefore those are his main two functions 🤷‍♂️ somehow he just seems to break too easily for it to be the real him 🤔 but like I said idk
