As Asuka Langley Soryu happens to be one if not, debatably the best-written character in the entire series. For such a compelling character, we are given such a complex, and yet deceiving personality. Someone who deeply yearns the love and appreciation from others, and yet, cannot seem to at the same time accept this love or support from anyone else. While E4 Asuka is certainly by all means far better than E3, I would like to counter the sexual 4 take with a much better, and more appropriate take. This makes the E3 more self-controlled and wary of their actions, while this makes the E2 far more emotional and there is excessive movement toward people. She frequently uses violence and invades other people's privacy, particularly Shinji's. She has a great desire to be independent. Let us first begin looking at some important facets of Pride. Ego Pride characters typically feel a step above the others, convinced of being important; and they, at the same time, are self-sufficient. The Sexual is overabundant with excellence. Asuka Langley Soryu (惣流・アスカ・ラングレー, Sōryū Asuka Rangurē) is a fictional character from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, created by Gainax. Within the series, she is designated as the Second Child and the pilot of a giant mecha named Evangelion Unit 02, to fight against enemies known as Angels for the special agency Nerv. Because of childhood trauma, she has developed a competitive and outgoing character, to get noticed by other people and affirm her own self.
