I feel that there are yet to be any in-depth analysis of Focalors’s consensus as an INFJ, so I’d like to give my take on her typing! 🌊 INFJ (Ni-Fe-Ti-Se) Ni: Focalors’s tunnel vision is apparent from her determination to save the people of Fontaine. Fe-Ti: Her Fe-Ti manifests in her curiosity towards humans and her desire to be human. Seeing her predecessor’s creations’ lives, she yearns for one as well. Honestly I’m not quite sure as well about how her Fe is actually shown with what little screentime she has and her lack of interaction with other characters. Her Ti, on the other hand really stood out to me when she talked about the true meaning of justice. To sum it up, she argued that while Fonataine’s original sin was stealing the powers of the Primordial Sea, Fontaine’s original justice was the right for all the people and Fontaine along with their decendants to live as human beings. For the first Hydro archon Egeria, her justice is the existence of the people of Fontaine (as per their wishes, I assume), while for Focalors, justice is the continuation of this existence (Fe-Ti). She creates this new framework and understanding of justice different to, let’s say, justice as determined by the Heavenly Principles (Ti). Moreover while explaining this she said to “[leave] matters of procedural right and wrong aside”—meaning to set aside issues related to the correct application of this understanding of justice in adherence to rules and procedures within a specific context (usually used in legal or administrative processes). Se: Her inf Se may be similar to Ei’s inf Se, in which she isolates herself from the physical world to commit herself to a task to achieve a goal. Although Focalors may seem cold to be an Fe user, with her “Anyway—so then I cursed her 😋” shenanigans, I believe it may be attributed to her lack of interactions with actual humans. After Egeria passed, Focalors spent a long time “alone on the ocean floor” to figure out how to save her people and then she further isolates herself to accumulate Indemnitium. She is quite similar to Nahida, who is also an INFJ and is also unfamilliar with the feelings of humans, but still expressed curiosity towards them anyway. However, Nahida, despite her isolation in the Sanctuary of Surasthana, was able to learn about her people through dreams. Even if Focalors had some other way to interact with the people, she was too focused on finding a solution for her people. Clearly my argument seems to focus too much on Fe-Ti, but I’ll try to add more on Ni and Se later ahaha B’). That’s it for my argument. If there are any points I missed do tell!
