HAHAHAHAHA she is SUCH a stereotypical and over the top SLE it hurts. [EDIT: I think it's a testament to the sheer brilliance of Arcane's character writing that such a stereotypical and archetypical character can still be deeper, more complex, and more interesting than even the main characters of many average stories.] Se base: Ambessa's whole character is defined by her quest for strength, power, her rampant use of brutal violence to establish her power and defend it. She is absolutely ruthless and brutal, with her brutality driving the wedge between herself and Mel (IEI). Si ignoring: Ambessa has a tendency to indulge in luxury and moment to moment pleasures, doing so excessively and without any sense of moderation, and while we don't get a clear-cut explanation for this behavior, the excessiveness and gratuitousness with which she indulges and the way she shows it off is consistent with someone who cares more about feeling powerful via commanding others and indulging as well as using that to show off their power than they care about the luxury themselves, something seen often in Se base types but especially SLEs. Ti creative: Ambessa's use of violence is done not to punish personal enemies for the sake of retribution or to defend herself and loved ones, but rather to protect the position of herself and her family in society, increase their status and defend their status, in a very strict hierarchical way far more consistent with the Se-Ti of Beta Quadra than the Se-Fi of Gamma Quadra which would focus on personal use of force for the sake of themselves and their loved ones, such as Vi (SEE). In addition, Ambessa has a very clear-cut and explicitly-stated worldview through which she filters her use of violence. She consistently reiterates her view that violence is an absolute necessity to solve problems, that the important thing is to gain and keep power and to use violence to acquire it and maintain it, and it is through this clear-cut "power and violence is everything" ideology that she influences Jayce (ILE) to take more decisive action. Fi PoLR: Ambessa felt that her care for her daughter and desire to not see her daughter in emotional distress weakened her (Ambessa), and so Ambessa decided that the best course of action was to cut off the weakness by sending Mel somewhere else where she can defend House Medarda's interests without having to interact directly with Ambessa. Ambessa felt that her caring for her daughter made her weak and so decided to get rid of her. She is incapable of reconciling with her daughter when she comes to Piltover. Ambessa is clearly incapable and utterly dismissive of personal relationships. A Gamma type would, for example see their caring for their family as a source of strength through motivation, rather than viewing that caring as weakness that needs to be purged. God, she is so ******* stereotypical.
