switched my vote back to 9w1 in light of chapter 96 causing me to reevaluate — after the culmination of their resentment results in their fight with bort in the invasion arc, they immediately fall back into old patterns, in spite of bort continuing to treat them as a nuisance.. almost all of the gems-turned-lunarians have, in some way, achieved happiness, or some illusion of it. cairngorm embraces her true self and identity, cinnabar no longer lives in fear of themself and discovers an interest in botany, antarc has found a place by kongo’s side, etc even though they aren’t nearly as ideologically opposed to change as bort or jade, they’re still firmly in the attachment triad with their defining and adapting themself to others, and their avoidance of negative feelings or of acknowledging their hurt until they blow up suddenly and quickly is very unhealthy 9w1 behavior imo — even when they *do* explode, dia never brings up a sense of obligation for bort to care about them or treat them better, rather feeling betrayed that bort had realized that they like jellyfish much more than fighting and that the pedestal that dia had put them on didn’t hold up anymore dia never exhibits the rejection of 2, come to think of it. upon being rejected, they funnel that experience into pre-existing feelings of inferiority and inability to be useful to others, which casts doubt on the idea of a 2 fix
