For anyone who argues Ian’s an ENTP due to him being so concerned about FE, has the wrong idea about the actual attitudes and roles pertaining to the positions of the functions. Keep in mind the inferior function (his FE inferior) is unsupported by it’s, even more negative, counterpart (his FI “demon”), and so is a source of stress and growth that he will care to to be “responsible” with, in order to be “mature”. Compare that to an ENTP like Sam Hyde, who’s quite unconcerned with FE as it’s his child function, and so it’s kept mostly innocent, adaptive, confident, immature and freed in it’s expression, due to the unawareness of it’s counterpart (his FI “trickster/ blind spot”). But, I see him as the epitome of an INTP. It’s especially evident in his relationship with Anisa, who is an ESFP herself, and so is his natural pair. His FE inferior is influenced entirely by her FI parent/ fe critic, and his SI child is loyally attached to her SE hero. That’s what’s driving his new change and outlook. It’s sad his FE inferior is likely easily manipulated and reliant on Inasa’s FI parent solely, and perhaps not a more wider range of values/ opinions. And, it’s probably Inasa’s FE critic’s influence that has caused him to take a more censored and “responsible” approach, and to “disapprove” of his own past persona and comedy. Ngl imo even if he thinks he’s more “mature”, idc as it means he’s boring AF now, no offence tho. But regardless of if he fully deserves it he’s still prolly gonna be remembered as a stuck up cuck forever now lmao🤷♀️
