He liked music, dancing, masked balls, and young women, taking multiple mistresses but quickly losing interest in them. Aerys was unintelligent, undilligent, irascible, vain, proud, and changeable, which made him an easy target for lickspittles and flatterers. As his reign continued, Aerys's mood swings became more frequent and his behavior increasingly erratic. He became more and more jealous, suspicious, and violent as the years went on, prone to furious outbursts.
