I still believe that Kate is head triad > image triad Head triad is motivated by fear and uncertainty, 6s deal with it by looking for security,loyalty and guidance or by becoming rebellious towards what they perceive as a potential danger. Kate behavior,both during season 4 and 5 is driven by extremely skeptical towards others' motives,especially with Joe at first, she is obsessed with protecting her inner circle,reacting upset and severe when she thinks she might have been used ,that proves she is hyper aware of the betrayal,also splitted between loyalty between authority and resentment towards it and also very defensive,vigilant. While she comes from privilege,she usually pushes back against it,proving an inner conflict with dependency and power structure,typical of a SX6. Why not a core 3 or SP3? Her hard emotional shell and extremely caution in thrust building,isn't about vanity,performance,presitge,self sifficiency,self image,but it serves to mask an inner world governed by fear or betrayal ,not fear of being ordinary or unsuccesfull. Kate's Season 5 arc further proves her as a counterphobic Six even more. Now that she is placed in a powerful relationship and social role, Kate becomes even more defensive, mistrustful, and morally conflictd,especially about her family’s legacy and the corruption around her. Her instinctual behavior isn’t about personal vanity or performance (which would point to E3), but about loyalty, control, testing allegiance, and ensuring emotional and physical safety. Her distrust of Joe never fades, even when she loves him,which is E6. The entire "we keep each other in check" dynamic is classic counterphobic bonding. She has moments of assertiveness, but even that is fear motivated, she fears being manipulated, used, or caught off guard. Her relationships are intense, protective, sometimes adversarial,exactly what Naranjo mentions for SX6s. Her drive for absolute trust and emotional loyalty, combined with paranoia and fear of betrayal, is not E3 ,they wouldn’t allow themselves to be vulnerable to that extent without more image control. Kate, on the other hand, willingly engages in morally gray acts for those she loves,not to maintain an image but to enforce her internal code of protection.
