DEEP ANALYSIS from one of the BIGGEST Sophia fans + NEW (also kind of unhealthy) theory for MBTI at the end (edgelord INTJ world-shaking theories be like:) For context I might be one of Sophia’s biggest fans and her facial expressions, the warmth in her voice and the lovely approach she has when interacting with fans, compared to her rigid work ethic confused me and still confuses me a lot typology wise. Sophia is like the aunt that is so caring like a mother but also hates your guts for making immature dumb jokes and fooling around instead of doing your homework at age 12. (fun fact: the “you doctor yet? dad i’m twelve. talk to me when you doctor.” meme is so Te-Si energy.) She seems to be the type of person to judge you HARD when something you do or say doesn’t make sense to her. She probably would say “Where is the joke? I don’t see it” or “Do you think you’re funny?” with a JUDGMENTAL RESTING B FACE that sends you subtle death threats and signs of utter disgust. She can be very opinionated and she doesn’t hide it. She can be blunt because she thinks it’s “productive criticism”. In Popstar Academy when she and Sophia were having a beef Manon said “Sophia just gave me the nastiest look on earth.” 😭💀 Her father during a family reunion played with her a bit, made some gestures jokingly and after a few seconds she got all tense even with her closest one so I think classic Te-Si rigidity is her default 😭 In a live where Yoonchae said she thinks Sophia is a thinking type, Sophia said “You think I’m a T because I’m so F and if I become too F I will be so F” could this be Fi grip? Her members can think that she’s a “T” (holy letter-typing…) like us fans that don’t know much about her “real” in-person personality so I think that’s a huge hint. Imagine the most unhealthy Te-dom that you can ever think of and that’s my older sister. She’s an ESTJ and when I asked her whether she thinks she’s a thinking type or a feeling type she told me that she’s “100% a feeling type” and that she’s “infinitely full of internal private emotions” which is SO wrong compared to what she shows to the outside. So maybe this could be a thing for ESTJs but also how can one think they’re feelers when it’s their INFERIOR function..? She says she’s ENFP but let’s be honest she doesn’t have a DROP of Fi. Compare her to our Fi queen Manon and you’ll see the difference. I think Sophia has mastered faking Fe in social interactions with fans but her demon Fe still has a huge impact on her leadership behind closed doors. She does NOT play around definitely. I think we have all the rights to be confused by KATSEYE’s MBTIs because none of them can be easily spotted without any contradictions or confusions but Sophia is especially one of the most confusing between the members. I think the closest we will ever get to the “real” Sophia is Popstar Academy though it is a bit more extreme because of the huge stress factor at that time. My vote will remain ESTJ until new proofs of other types/functions surfaces. Sophia has Ne-like playfulness and goofiness (sometimes), Fe-like adeptness and warmth in social interactions, with her most obvious features being Te-Si related. One very important lesson I have learned from Sophia after taking the term “parasocial” to another level for her is that, even though she does it unconsciously, if you can use functions in their best fitting situation or blend functions to create the most refined, balanced personality profile (even the shadow ones) you can be one of the most magnetic people ever. Because you contain both the fire and the ice and a perfect mixture of them can make wonders. I know going against your MBTI nature can be disastrous as said by Isabel Myers in Gifts Differing but I think it wouldn’t be harmful if you remain conscious about the fact that you’re just “faking” certain functions for desired outcomes and if you don’t get too caught up in faking it. Theoretically I think this could make the most magnetic person ever or if not done well the most forgettable one because you would be too in-between. In every relationship, especially romantic ones, we feel drawn to people who embody qualities that we want to have ourselves but don’t, or just someone who contrasts our qualities even though we may not necessarily desire those qualities for ourselves. Opposites really do attract. I’ve seen so many examples of popular school girls dating “loser” nerdy gamer boys because they seem reserved or “cool” to the girl or of lonely socially anxious kids secretly being in love with outgoing friendly types with countless friends + good communication skills. Embodying sides of all eight functions VERY SUBTLY can result in everyone seeing a little bit of themselves in you while also seeing the embodiment of their wildest dreams/dream traits. It’s only a theory but I wonder how it would result in reality.
