[1/2] I know this page won't have as much as votes as the others, but I want to make a quick take. Chevreuse is definitely a TeFi type axis, as we have seen on the quest how she applies external laws almost in every scene. That's why I must debunk Ni dominant for her, which seems to contradice her character. Chevreuse is hardly seen to use any subjective impressions for judgements. Why Te suits better than any other function for Chevreuse. > Ni dom is not only observing subjective images at the bottom of his consciousness. Ni is a function of perception, simply impression, and making no judgement. Ni can think abstractly because it's their way to absorbe information subconsciously and form insights about the world. Where do we see, Captain Chevreuse, using a set of mental synthesis, relying on the subjective understanding of the world around her, or looking, searching out a new angle for understanding the councious mental impression? > Chevreuse is clearly Rational > Irrational as well. During "Roses and Muskets" quest, Chevreuse deals almost everytime with a judging factor. For example when she she tell us about the recent murders, she tells everything as it is. No a mention of her subjective arrival of understanding of the case. And if that isn't enough, let's look at her voicelines, and how the objective factor is her first reaction: • Chat: Musket Chevreuse: "The Musket is my favourite weapon. It's both powerful and threatening...sometimes the latter trait is far more useful." →Her first thought about using the musket was that is both useful and threatening, due to the external factor. She knows how the musket appeals externally, and yet, she also mentions that the weapon itself is useful. Direct and simple, focusing on the effectiveness of the object. Not a subjective impression at all. • Chat: Friendship n° 4 and 6 Chevreuse: "You can come to me at any time if you have questions about the law. Actually... You should come to me the minute you have the slightest inkling that something may not be legal. I can't tell you how many idiots I encounter every year who overstep simply because they fail to check where the line is drawn. I don't want to see you become like them." →Something to clarify is that being a Je dominant (Te/Fe) doesn't mean you can't have internal ideas. What is valuable here, is what Chevreuse uses first, unconsciously on her mind to determine what she consideres the best or not. And in this case, she once more goes to the external factor. You could say, that is because of her work. But not at all. She's decisively talking about her view of things, which are identical to the external judging. She first refers that we can always come to her if we need someone to explain the law for us. And then, she tell us that if we do something illegal, she adds first the people she has to deal with most of the time on her daily, telling us that she wouldn't like us to become like them. Why? Because it's something externally bad seen? Not only that. She tells us that she doesn't want the traveller to pass the line of what's legal or not, because what she values are the external law itself. Chevreuse mentions almost in EVERY LINE on her profile about the law, and sometimes even repressing the subjective factor. For example here, on her talk about other characters: •About Clorinde: Chevreuse: "Clorinde has built quite the reputation for herself in Fontaine as a Champion Duelist. Our positions are different, so I'm not at liberty to make any comments about her work. But I trust that she takes on those duels out of her own sense of justice." →Chevreuse supress any inner opinion she could make about Clorinde because she doesn't rely first on a subjective factor. No trace of Ti, even less Ni for her. Not only she doesn't talk about impressions (Pi functions, Ni/Si) nor she mentions any personal judgements (Ji functions, Fi/Ti) when referring to people. She tends to supress any internal perception or judgement she may have, and doenst talk about what she doesn't know. It's clear that what Chevreuse values the most is the external law, the sense of justice who is collective. She starts talking about Clorinde mentioning her reputation, making clear that they're positions are differents and that because of it, she can't make any comment about her work. Because she doesn't personally know her, she doesn't want to make any subjective idea. • About Wriothesley: Chevreuse: "The work Wriothesley does is highly effective. As least all criminals know that the Fortress of Meropide isn't the type of place you want to stay at long enough to grow old. That fact comes in handy during our interrogation work." →Again, making enphasis on what's the external factor, in this case, the externally usefull. First mentioning that Wrio's work is effective, then telling us accurate facts about Meropide and their prisioners.
