I don't think he is SP9. SP9 are about escapism through external stimulation such as food, video games and etc. This is because they are avoiding to discover themselves. The mob character mindset are actually more like SP5 who wishes to escape reality by living in fantasies of their own head. They would rather spectate, learn and avoid the external world compare to E9. Nukumizu is described as philosophical and enjoy reading books. He enjoys living in own head and is more content being an observer. He has a habit of doing things alone rather than relying on others for assistance. All of this are traits of E5. As for MBTI I see him more of an INTP. He has known which tap water in his school is the best during morning. He calculated how long can he reach the classroom from the tap so he can finally reach his seat while people won't be sitting on his seat when he finally arrived. This is the most INTP Ti-Si I have ever seen. He has a habit of saying "unnecessary" things subconsciously due to how he doesn't really have much experience in social interactions, and would often disregard the other party's feelings. He is also very blunt and will blatantly blurt out the truth, no matter the situation. This might be sign of Inferior Fe while try using his Ti-Ne to socialize. Edit: After reading the novel I would say that he is indeed INTP SP5 I also decided to reread E5 and E9 core and I still see more of E5 within his character. It is true that E9 escapes their self hoping they can find themselves from the outside world. They adapt to the world by forsaking themselves which I can't see in Nukumizu who is rejecting the environment by keeping hold of themselves which is E5 which is shown in the anime where he acknowledges himself as a loner who prefers to be left alone while E9 would seek more connection as they hope they can seek themselves within the external world. Nukumizu is shown to have habit of observing others. He shown this when he said he have kept a notebook just for observing Shikiya. He really actually compare her to a reptile just because she is sitting on a bench that are usually bathed by sunlight. He also observe people surrounding him such as the time in the board game cafe, observing that two thirds of the class will be attending the Christmas party, observing Kaju and her friends when they decided to talk with Amanatsu sensei. This shows Nukumizu has a habit of hoarding information this also includes the water tap and his calculation of time and distance towards the class. No E9 would observe this kind of detail since they prefer action over thoughts and ideas as they never bother to think that far. This are traits of E5 habit of an observer as they seek divine omniscience to protect oneself from the environment. His tendency to fantasize things based on his novels became much more apparent. We can see that through how he first see Basori as an imouto character and how she constantly breaks his fantasy with her personality. He also tries to escape from reality by rejecting the possibility that Kaju is indeed dating someone by rationalizing it. Self Preservation Nines focus on merging with physical comforts and routine activities, such as eating, sleeping, reading, or doing crossword puzzles. SP Nines are practical, concrete people who focus on everyday things rather than abstractions. Self-Preservation Nines are concrete people, oriented to immediate experience, who don’t relate much to abstractions or metaphysical concepts. With these Nines there is less “psychological mindedness” and introspection and more focus on tangible and immediate “things to do.” They find experience much easier to deal with than theory. They don’t always put their experience into words, however—they don’t talk a lot about what is going on inside them in general. In the novel his Ti-Ne is also much apparent he has tendency to rationalize things. He also often seek flaws in other's logic especially Yanami's. He would use his own observation and correlated them to many things in his head and understand social situations by using his detached logical analysis not emotional understanding as he often really dense about this especially if it's about himself. I often see people constantly mistyped SP5 to SP9 due to their similarities. This case usually happens so often when the typing is INTP 9w8 SLI.
