"ما نوع الشخصية Inspector Goole؟ Inspector Goole هو نوع INFJ في mbti ، 1w2 - so/sp - 154 في enneagram ، RLOEI في Big 5 ، LIE في Socionics."

I love it how the entire Inspector Calls section here is just flooded with GCSE students. GCSE syllabuses keeping the legend alive, hehe... Anyway, how is he an INTJ? The Inspector certainly isn't on the Te-Fi axis. Birling's ideology (based around the Te-Fi axis) and the Inspector's ideology (based around the Ti-Fe axis) are what cause the opposition between them in the first place, and this is made very clear in the play. At the beginning of Act 1, the Inspector arrives, interrupting Birling's speech about the importance of the self. The placement of the Inspector's arrival is no coincidence - the last thing Birling says before the Inspector arrives is "a man has to mind his own business and look after himself and his own...". Then, "we hear the sharp ring of a front door bell". The tone is about to shift. In walks the Inspector, his views the direct antithesis of Mr Birling's; the scene that follows depicts the opposition of these two authorities and their views. Of course, the play is about Birling's and the Inspector's different views on society (capitalism vs socialism), but, in showing us these sides of the characters, Priestley has provided us with a lot with which to type them. While Birling believes that everyone's path is determined individually (pointing towards the Te-Fi axis, which makes its decisions based largely on the self), the Inspector believes exactly the opposite - everyone's lives are interconnected, and while we are individuals, everyone's individuality depends on everyone else's. This is a prime example of the Fe-Ti axis in the Inspector. "We don't live alone. We are members of one body. We are responsible for each other." How does that quotation not scream Fe? On this site, socialism as a school of philosophy has been typed as ENFJ. While I do think the Inspector is an Ni dom for reasons stated in previous comments, with socialism being such an important facet of the Inspector's character, there's no way he can be a Te user, especially when juxtaposed with Birling, the ultimate Te dom. I know that ideology is not the only facet that makes up a person's life, but then the Inspector is hardly a normal human, is he? He's Priestley's mouthpiece; he's Priestley's socialist viewpoint in... inspector form, hehe. You can even argue that he wasn't even written as real human, but as a ghost... after all, his name is Inspector Goole... (pronounced 'ghoul', hehe...) And if this is the case, and the Inspector is essentially a socialist spirit, then there's no way he can be on the Te-Fi axis. Just because he has an objective style of questioning doesn't mean he is automatically a Te user!
