"ما نوع الشخصية Impressionism؟ Impressionism هو نوع ISFJ في mbti ، 9w1 - sp/so - 946 في enneagram ، RCOAI في Big 5 ، SEI في Socionics."

While I understand how the concept behind impressionism fits closely with Jung's description of Si, most of its best-known exponents seem to have been on the Se-Ni axis, and that is visible in the work they produced. Si--as described by just about everyone, including Jung's wife--is extremely meticulous and detail-oriented, rather like a photographic memory. Most impressionist paintings on the other hand are pretty hazy, cutting corners and eschewing detail in favor of capturing "movement" (which is to say, a specific moment in present time rather than a memory). So ultimately impressionism is a conceptually Si art form, which is why I voted ISFJ, but it is done mainly by Ni/Se users. Which may be what makes it so interesting. Hyper-realism, on the other hand, would be a conceptually Se art form that high Si users probably enjoy doing, due to the painstaking precision needed to produce it.

سيرة شخصية

The Impressionists made history by breaking a lot of artistic traditions and standards. First of all, art was no longer a tool used to glorify the powerful and the fantastic. Art was a tool of institutions and the aristocracy, used to depict kings and Christ as these great, immortal paragons. With paints becoming more easily available to the lower classes, the Impressionists saw a sense of beauty in the common man. Landscapes of beaches and meadows, portraits of everyday people at leisure, things people could relate to. Secondly, they actually left the studio. They carried all of their paints and chemicals and easels on location and painted what was in front of them. The tides didn't stop for Canute and the world wouldn't stop for anyone else either, so these painters and sculptors had to work fast. This resulted in fast brush strokes and a laissez-faire application of the Elements and Principles of Art. The invention of photography had made the idea of capturing reality feel redundant, so they had taken the subjective philosophy of the Romantics and ran with it.
