I'm going with ISFJ for Madoka. I think she fits the Si-Ne axis quite well. She is concerned with the duties that are a part of being a magical girl, but she is overwhelmed by the new lifestyle and tries to make sense of all the consequences should she choose to become one. I think Madoka is someone that places value on the duties/roles of being a magical girl rather than being someone that is driven by her subjective insights or personal values (Si). I don't think she's an INFJ because INxJs often see the end result they want to achieve first due to Ni's futuristic nature and she isn't one to dive into the deeper meaning or hidden implications of things. Madoka comes off as someone that takes things by a day-by-day basis and is plagued by Inferior Ne tendencies. Madoka comes off as an Fe user. As a function, Fe is often "motherly" in nature. Madoka is evaluating how others feel about the decisions she is going to make. INFP does seem like a probable option for her type and INFPs can most certainly be giving in their own ways. The nature of the Type 9 can cause confusion between ISFJs and INFPs, but I think Madoka's conclusions are reached with Fe instead of Fi. I think her wish to become a magical girl God was based on Ti: It was her own logical decision to become a God as a way to make others feel happy. ~More in reply~
