I expected the ESTJ votes. Let me disagree. While typing Mary is a challenge because of how unhealthy she is, I think ISTJ is the perfect fit. She doesn't direct her attention to the outside world beyond what Precious does, which contradicts the nature of EXXX types. However, she is incredibly attached to her own world of enduring inner sensations. How events affect HER. What is unpleasant for Si is ALWAYS unpleasant, because it categorizes sensations and events subjectively. It is for this reason that Mary never changed her perspective of Precious, of how she "stole her man". Of course any type with a strong Si (or maybe even Fi too) is capable of this, what I'm trying to say is that this is what primarily defines Mary. I think that her Te is also present, in a cartoonish way, but still. She does what's effective to keep having money, whether it's ordering Precious to go on welfare or telling her that to survive you have to "exploit yourself"-- or something like that. (I have bad memory, sorry). Her self-righteous Fi is as twisted as her. Her inner moral compass tells her that what she is doing is okay, that she is not the bad guy in the story. Some might argue that her last scene suggests a Fi grip, however, I don't rely on grips when typing fictional characters. You might or not like the "analyzing evil" series.
