What personality type is Nicky Ryan? Nicky Ryan is an ENTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - in Enneagram, RCOAI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.

Nicky Ryan had lots on ideas he was yet to experiment with in recording before famously working with Enya. He worked with different bands before, apparently these bands split as they were not as open to his ideas and wanted to carry on their own way. This seems a bit like Ne. However, he might actually be a user of introverted intuition (Ni), like Enya. After the family band Clannad didn't want Nicky to manage them anymore, Eithne also wished to leave with Nicky and Roma to work on her own music compositions. Nicky built a recording studio in their garden too. It's quite an interesting story, I could see a biopic of Enya's musical journey work rather well in the future. Nicky does have rules for all three working in the studio. He is not very open to others' thoughts on music production, but he is very good at what he does, and it really worked well for Enya. The approach Nicky had of listening to all of Enya's music from The Celts to Dark Sky Island is something I might have done, but I wouldn't type him as an INTP. At some point I thought he could be ISTJ, but now doubt it. He likes to push forward new or clever musical ideas, perhaps even more so than Enya. What type is prone to arguing with an INTJ (Enya) ? It seems funny that they argue about the music in the studio, but it works after all. They are similarly strong-willed and consistently put effort into their music, also having great visions for the future of their music. The best professional partnership with the INTJ is with an ENTJ. For now I will vote Nicky Ryan as an ENTJ.

Nicholas Dominick Ryan is an Irish music producer, recording engineer, and manager. He is best known as the longtime business and recording partner for the singer, songwriter and musician Enya alongside his wife, poet and lyricist Roma Ryan.
