Matthew Benjakarn "Matt" Braly (born November 8, 1988 in Sacramento, California) is an American animator, director, and producer who is the creator and executive-producer of Disney's Amphibia, a show he based upon his own childhood experiences with his friend-group and heritage as a second-generation Thai immigrant visiting his family's home country. Prior to creating his own show, Braly worked briefly on the Dreamworks Animation film Turbo, before becoming a storyboard artist and director on Gravity Falls, winning an Annie Award for his directorial work on "Northwest Mansion Mystery". He would briefly work as a storyboard artist on other shows and later work as a director on Big City Greens before starting Amphibia.
