His use of Lust is utterly insane, he constantly gets himself and others close to him in dangerous situations because of how recklessly he seeks justice and other ways to give himself satisfaction. He's very rebellious against authority because he views the whole system as unfair (which he has a point tbh) so he uses his own power to bring it down as much as he can. Being seeing as weak and constantly being looked down upon is something he's very insecure about. The incident with the choir singing his song, he did everything he could to abolish the traditional song to put in his own. This is kind of what I feel gets misunderstood about 8s: They're not so much looking to control what's happening (like 1s who always want to control the outcome) as much as controlling what they're able to do and keeping limitations off of them, to maximize their physical experiences but also protect themselves and those they care about. Simon did some bad stuff but I don't think that makes him a bad person, he obviously cares very deeply about others and often puts their wellbeing before his own.
