What personality type is Rachel Patton (S1)? Rachel Patton (S1) is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 9w1 - sx/so - 962 in Enneagram, SCOAI in Big 5, IEI in Socionics.
I think she could be both Fe/Fi depending on how you choose to read into her actions and character, but I personally see her as more of an INFP! Despite everything, she seems very in tune with her values and is always checking-in with herself and how she feels about things. Her main conflict comes from her Fi clashing with her enneagram (9w1: idealistic, easygoing, peace-seeking, non-confrontational). It also makes sense given her tritype (962!). She got herself into that mess of a marriage by 'falling asleep' to her needs and values long enough—very typical for E9's and sx ones at that! During a stressful time and, in her words, after a bad breakup (9's go to 6 in stress), Shane provided her with the peace and stability she was looking for. (That is, until she cannot longer give Shane the benefit of the doubt or ignore how much of a douche he is, and her Fi takes the wheel and begins screaming for freedom). The way she carries herself is also very Fi to me. For example, I feel like an Fe dom/aux would've had an easier time handling her mother-in-law and wouldn't have been so upfront about her views on being a trophy wife either. She also has trouble understanding Shane's rigid frame of mind (ESTJ) or knowing how to push her career forward and what logical steps to follow (outside of random bursts of inspiration) which could indicate aux Ne & inferior Te.
