What personality type is Maurizio Gucci? Maurizio Gucci is an INFP personality type in MBTI, 6w5 - sp/sx - 613 in Enneagram, RCOEI in Big 5, LII in Socionics.
There is a major decision on his life where he prefers to follow his own moral guidance (Fi dominance) by abdicating from the Gucci’s hereditary and following his own heart, following the path of a pure moral related to Love. He chose to marry Patrizia even if that means loosing all of his name and wealth. (Te repressed). He is deeply in contact with his heart, he follows his heart and principally his morals. There is another moment on the movie where he chose to fight Patrizia, because she was doing everything she can for money and influence (goals > everything for her) and he considers her attitude to be morally wrong, because she was messing with his family. We can see that on the scenes where she was involved in put his uncle on jail, in forcing him to fight his cousin and etc. He chose Fi over Te again, by choosing what he believe is morally right instead of impartial fairness, because his uncle went to jail fairly by acting against the law. And here there is also the enneagram 9, by preferring peace over anything ✌️ He prefers to choose peace over the justice itself, because his uncle was doing bad things and went to jail fairly by acting against the law, but he blamed Patrizia's attitude later on in exposing his uncle, because of the eneagram 9's Basic Fear of Loss and Basic Desire of Inner stability "peace of mind". He want to create harmony on the environment, avoiding conflicts and tension at any cost. (...Sorry if it was rude to people with enneagram 9, I'm just saying that this is enneagram 9 at extreme proportions :p) Dominant Fi repressing inferior Te. That’s why he constantly fights with his father, which has dominant Te repressing the Fi. In the end, he just wanted to live a good life with Patrizia, not caring at all about heritage or richness. That's very Fi. Let's remember that it was Patrizia that made him visit again his family. If it was up to him to decide, he would stay there with Patrizia in the small town because he was already happy with that life and didn't have any major big goal in life, like Patrizia of course had. Fi > Te. He need to reflect in every Te based action that Patrizia proposes and in the end he does not agree with Te at all, because he judges by morality (Fi). If he would be INTJ, he would have auxiliar Te, so it wouldn't be a reason to bother him so much and keep fighting with his father and Patrizia, strong Te users. He choses Fi over Te, Patrizia chose Te over Fi. The movie is all about that. We can see the difference between him and Patrizia because of how far is the Te cognitive function in their stacks. And that was one of the major reasons for the breakup. For me, even INTP makes more sense than INTJ in that sense, because Ti and Fi (Ji) are related to authenticity and Maurizio seems to have a dominant Ji function, always acting accordingly to what HE thinks is right (not what others think, like the Gucci's brand heritage). In the very end of the movie, he wanted to create a "New Gucci", but with his flavor even if that means damaging the brand or going into the debt. (Fi > Te). We can see that in the end of the movie, before he was killed. Fi > Te from start to end.
