Biography
Callicles (/ˈkælɪkliːz/; Greek: Καλλικλῆς; c. 484 – late 5th century BC) was an ancient Athenian philosopher. Not much is known of him besides his appearance in Plato's dialogue "Gorgias", where he advocates the natural right of the strong, a position that, among other things, influenced the writings of 19th century German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche.
