William James MBTI Personality Type

Personality

What personality type is William James? William James is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w6 - sp/so - 593 in Enneagram, SCOEI in Big 5, LIE in Socionics.

Absolutely phenomenal example of an INTJ who walked the path of self-mastery and pushed his strengths to their limits. His vision was one revolving around the concept of “psychologizing,” or introspecting, around the inner workings of one’s own perception and consciousness (Ni). In fact, he coined the term “stream of consciousness.” He insisted on an additive approach to truth, meaning that truth was not best described by closed systems, but rather by the sum total of all possible perspectives. This was arrived at via his own personal introspection around the evolution of his thought over time. His masterwork, principles of psychology, was a classic Ni-Te intellectual leap, FAR ahead of his day and age - absolutely radical, and revolutionary. A true visionary at heart, known for synthesizing his own cognitions into broad, metaphysical truths. He was an originator of the philosophy of Pragmatism, and ended his life as a simultaneous believer in the supernatural and material realm. A man of real genius and mind-boggling perceptiveness.
