What personality type is Nene? Nene is an ISFP personality type in MBTI, 6w7 - so/sx - 638 in Enneagram, SLUAI in Big 5, SEE in Socionics.
Anyways, for those who are saying she's an ESFP, why? Is it because she's popular? Because she's an extrovert and appreciates friendships? Is it because she "fights" and very skilled at using knives or melee weapons? Her promiscuous tendencies? I don't see any arguments for ESFP. I'm here to counter every ESFP voters', since I haven't seen enough ESFP arguments nor reasonings. Since we don't have that much information from Nene assides from the series, we can only rely on her Wikipedia since it's mostly stated by Tom Fulp himself. Just because someone is popular or talkative DOESN'T necessarily mean that she's an ESFP. It's probably her inattentive ADHD that's causing her to act like that (it's stated in her wikipedia itself, saying): "○ Nene is neurodivergent, as she is diagnosed with ADD (ADHD-PI). - Girls display less obvious symptoms of ADD compared to boys. Notably, they may act ditzy or exhibit apparent silliness, which seems to align with Nene's personality". (It explains her Sanguine temperament) Mental disorders can afflict one's cognition. Since it happens "mentally", our brain gets used to it, to the point where it adapts any information or circumstances that are happening inside a brain's processing. - Asides from that, the reason why I think Nene is a Fi dominant is because she's very devoted to her beliefs/morals, her statements, and her passion for Psychology (in order to help HERSELF and the people around her). "Along with her convictions, she also believes in dying "with honor," notably when discovering she had contracted herpes. This leads to her committing (or at least attempting) suicide to avoid being humiliated by her peers". She's very loyal to her own personal beliefs (Fi + E6) and continues to follow it because it aligns HERSELF. If she was a Se dominant, she WOULD rely on external STIMULI for the cause of her suicidal tendencies, but aside from her being a Sado-Masochist, the belief she follows initially ALIGNS with HERSELF because she VALUES her own popularity and she doesn't want to hear any rumors or gossip around the school when she would be people (because of her Herpes Libialis). She FEARS being criticized among her peers, therefore she kills herself as a WAY of removing her anxiety and freeing herself from receiving any criticisms, adding up that she values suicide as well. I honestly relate to this. I'm an E6 (so6), and I also tend to fear being hated a LOT and I just want to free myself from anxiety. I don't want to experience being hated or being gossiped around, and I tried attempting suicide back then and ghosted everyone in order to spare my anxiety. I didn't like being hated among my peers... I wish I could stop minding everyone's business without trying to find a way in order for me to run away from it all. I am alright now by the way, that was before. I was also prone to suicide, especially using suicide as a decision to "run away and end my anxiety" so that I wouldn't hear the hatred, criticisms, and gossips around me. If she was a Se dominant, she wouldn't be motivated by her own values, instead, she would just enjoy the "thrill" of it rather than enjoying suicide because of her beliefs. - Hm? Need more arguments? "When asked about what subjects the Pico characters would major in if they entered college, Fulp replied that Nene would major in Psychology, because she "wants to sort out her issues and potentially help others." Nene's very devoted towards Psychology and it's stated that she "wants to sort out her issues and potentially help others". She values this as well (because she's AWARE of her "issues") and she's devoted to this belief due to her personal reasons about her mental health. The fact that this decision is MOSTLY aligned towards herself, she wants to major in Psychology because she BELIEVES that IT WOULD BE GOOD for herself (stopping her sado-masochistic and suicidal tendencies). And due to this reason, she wants to help the people who's currently experiencing the same thing as HERS (it initially branched from herself). Her self-awareness about her own issues also depicts Fi. Her value for popularity either aligns with an E3 or E2 fix, but nonetheless, I'm furthermore observing Nene's behavior in order to type her heart triad type. Her fear being triggered by her peers (especially if she got attacked by her peers) seems like a so6 thing to do, since it's mostly aligned by social/group-means. E3 fix would fit that, but I'm not sure if it's just her so6 valuing her peers' opinions or her (possible) E3 fix.
