What personality type is Socially Introverted? Socially Introverted is an INTJ personality type in MBTI, 5w4 - sp/sx - 549 in Enneagram, RLOEI in Big 5, ILI in Socionics.
Keep in mind that this is for social introversion, not just general/cognitive introversion. Cognitive introversion certainly goes to INTP, but there is no way that the extroverted functions of INTJ (TeSe) are more geared to people than INTP (NeFe). The INTJ is more suited to social introversion. TeSe is about sculpting reality to your vision and thus tends to care more about using laws of the external world to get what they want. The absence of Ne and Fe generally means that they don't look to the ideas of others and generally don't care about other peoples' subjective opinions. NeFe is about accumulating ideas/possibilites by interacting with people in the external world and thus tend to care more about being open to the ideas and opinions of others. The absence of Te and Se generally means that they aren't looking to create something concrete and definite and generally don't care about physical experiences. All of this to me suggests that while INTPs are more in their own heads, their cognitive functions are much more geared to rely on the information/feedback from other people. A way to think of it is that INTPs care about being internally objective and externally subjective, whereas the INTJ is internally subjective and externally objective. This is why INTJ are more standoffish and more dismissive of people, but have a more delicate and opinionated interior. They want to shape the physical world around their internal subjectivities (NiFi). The INTP is opposite, where they are more externally open and friendly, but this is often for the sake of accumulating information and strengthening their internal convictions (TiSi). I also know this is anecdotal, but all of the INTPs I've met go to computer/science clubs and interact with other nerds. I imagine this is the NeFe trying to feed their Ti. The only other INTJ I've ever met was just concerned with fulfilling his vision with amibition and was pretty closed off from people, which I relate to. I imagine this is TeSe trying to feed their Ni.
Biography
A social introvert is someone who categorically prefers to spend time alone. They will go out of their way to ensure that they have the amount of time to themselves that they need. But if they do socialise, it will only be with a very close-knit group of friends.
