Can we please stop describing Asuka as a tsundere...that wasn't even a term back when NGE came out and she really does not care for Shinji enough to be considered one. She's not at all a love interest archetype, and tsunderes are mean to the person they like because they don't know how to express her feelings. Asuka acts mean and better than everyone (not just Shinji, everyone - except for Kaji) as a shield for how she really feels about herself. There are two times in the show where they think Shinji might be dead and Asuka literally gives zero fxcks about whether he's okay or not. Tired of female characters being reduced to their connection with the male protagonist ESPECIALLY when people interpret it wrong. This girl has been through severe trauma and secretly hates herself, she's not a tsundere.
