How can people still hate this guy? His development from the original season is easily one of the best parts of the entire reboot. I mean,back when we only had the classic series I think the vitriol towards Abe was completely justified, but now? Common. Especially in the newest season too, it’s become so hard for me not to love him. Don’t get me wrong, obviously he’s still a massive idiot, but it’s clear that he values his friendships and relationships more than anyone else in the main cast of characters. I love how his Fi has transformed over the run of the series, makes me root for you guy the way I should’ve been back in the original season of the show. The Te inferior is still a large part of Abe’s characterization with how difficult it his for him to outwardly rationalize his inner values, but it’s far more palatable now that those values are about protecting his friends or genuine self doubt rather than just trying to fight for getting to remove Cleo’s clothes. You can really tell that if he’s doing something for someone now, it’s pretty much purely out of the warmth of his heart and how much he cares about them. He knows that he isn’t popular but isn’t trying to fight that battle anymore, he just wants to stay close to the people around him. That’s how you do Fi right man. Genuinely crazy how much the newer seasons have shaped up Abe. If you still hate this guy, it’s time to move on from 2002!!
